The Royal Crescent and Preston Road Practice is holding a Healthy Living event to help people learn more about their local health services.

The practice decided to hold the event after a survey designed by its Patient Participation Group (PPG) showed that patients wanted more information on local health services available to them.

Tracey Scorer, PPG Co-ordinator at the Royal Crescent and Preston Road Practice, said: “Our patients told us that there was a need for more information on their local health services. People know the services are available, but are often unsure who provides them and how best to access them.

“With the help of our PPG, we have developed the Healthy Living event, which will be held at the Park Community Centre. Local organisations will be on-hand to speak to the public about the services they offer, and we’ll also be giving advice on ways to stay healthier for longer, and how to practice self-care.

“We’re encouraging Weymouth residents to come along and find out more about their local health services.”

The Healthy Living event will take place on Saturday 19 May from 11am-3pm at the Park Community Centre, Chelmsford Street, Weymouth.
