NHS Dorset CCG has received formal notice from Dr Clayton at Stalbridge Surgery, of his intention to retire on 31 December 2018. As a result – despite a considerable amount of work by Dr Clayton and NHS Dorset CCG to explore other options – the surgery will close from this date.

Whilst the surgery will close at the end of December 2018, it will continue to deliver services up until this time. From 31 December 2018 patients will need to be registered with an alternative surgery in order to continue to access GP services.

Patients who are registered at Stalbridge Surgery are being written to and advised of the closure along with details of upcoming engagement events which will enable them to find out how to register with alternative local surgeries and ask questions.

Anyone who has immediate questions should in the first instance speak to a member of staff at the practice.
