Anyone of any age who gets COVID-19 can become seriously ill or have long-term effects (long COVID).
The COVID-19 vaccines are the best way to protect yourself and others. You need 2 doses for stronger and longer-lasting protection. Once a vaccine is approved, it’s closely monitored to continue to make sure it is safe and effective.
You should still get vaccinated even if you have had COVI9-19, or tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies in the past.COVID-19 vaccines must go through several stages of clinical trials before they can be approved for use. All vaccines used in the UK must be approved by the independent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
There’s no evidence the COVID-19 vaccines have any effect on your chances of becoming pregnant. There’s no need to avoid getting pregnant after being vaccinated.
