The Dorset Cancer Partnership is inviting local people to be involved in the planning of future cancer services in the county.

Formed in 2016, the Partnership was developed to enable local organisations to work together to provide a joined up approach to cancer services across Dorset. Members of the Partnership include representatives of GP practices, hospitals, community care and voluntary organisations.

The aim is to develop and implement a single Dorset Cancer Service across the county, working to prevent cancer, enable earlier diagnosis and achieve the best outcomes for those affected, providing person centred, equitable care for all.

The main areas for improvement are:

  • Wide spread prevention

  • Early detection and diagnosis

  • Treatment

  • Living with and beyond cancer

  • Integrated IT systems for cancer

The views of local people should be at the heart of all of these areas. We will all work together to plan and deliver meaningful engagement and communication.
