At our first webinar of 2022, Kirsty Hillier (Head of Communications at Dorset ICS) gave a background to the Integrated Care System (ICS) in Dorset and explained the different parts of the organisation and how health and care partnership would fit into the system – including the importance of involving communities in the plans. She also gave a timeline of the plans up until the Integrated Care Board (ICB) goes live.

Frances Aviss (Senior Public Engagement Lead at Dorset CCG) outlined the importance of the public in the ICS including sharing the ten principles for how the ICS will work with people and communities going forward, the work already undertaken to get feedback from a variety of public groups and the timeline to develop the People and Communities Strategy.

Ian Gall (Chair of Dorset ICS Public Engagement Group) gave his reflections on the importance of the public and community groups (including PPGs) in the ICS and how their voices will be heard all levels of the organisation.
