Grab your jab this weekend!
With walk-in vaccination sessions happening across the county over the coming days and this weekend, why not make the most of the good weather and grab a jab if you haven’t already done so?
Sites over the coming days include the large scale vaccination centre at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), local pharmacies and GP-led hubs.
Both first and second doses are available. For more information on second doses visit https://www.dorsetccg.nhs.uk/people-in-dorset-urged-to-have-second-jabs-at-eight-weeks/.
Anna Chainey, Dorset HealthCare’s COVID Services Manager, said: “The BIC will be open from 8am-1pm on Sunday (18 July) for people to get their first or second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine – just drop in and get your jab.
“We can provide either the AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccines, and the whole process is safe, efficient and quick.
“Just one reminder – for those needing their second dose, it must be at least eight weeks since your first jab.”
The BIC will also be open every day from Monday (19 July) for pre-booked appointments, plus a small number of walk-in jabs when vaccine is available.
A full list of clinics is available at https://www.dorsetccg.nhs.uk/vaccinations/walk-in/.
Please remember to bring a face mask with you, unless you are exempt. Do also have something to eat and drink before you leave home.
New locations and clinics will be added to this page as they are announced.
Your second COVID-19 jab appointment will be eight weeks after your first: receiving the second dose at least eight weeks after the first offers the best protection against the delta variant.
