Engagement champions from across Dorset came together for a ‘We Are The Champions’ Event.
More than 90 people attended the showcase event which saw dozens champions come together to share knowledge and expertise.
Presentations on the importance of meaningful engagement and communications in supporting experience, outcomes and transformation were given by NHS England’s Roger Davidson, NHS Director of System Partnerships, and Jocelyn Cornwell, Chief Executive, The Point of Care Foundation.
The event, which took place on 27 November, also saw the launch of a new collaborative online sharing platform for engagement across Dorset.
The online platform means that 80 engagement champions can be provided with ongoing advice, guidance and support, network with each other, and share good practice.
In the afternoon, representatives from the Building Health Partnerships Primary Care Networks in Dorset gave a session on ‘asset-based co-design’.
The event came after the delivery of engagement training earlier in the year delivered by The Point of Care Foundation.
The Point of Care Foundation were commissioned to develop and deliver a bespoke four-day course in experience, engagement, facilitation and co-design skills to 80 engagement champions across the ICS partner organisations.
