The ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation means health services, including GP practices, are facing unprecedented demand for services. This will have an impact on the way PPGs and practices work together.
At this difficult time PPGs can support their practice in the following ways:
- Email your practice rather than phoning/dropping by (unless agreed with your practice)
- Ask your practice if the PPG can support them in any way – each practice and PPG will be different
- Share positive health messages from credible sources on social media. Look for a blue tick next to the account name – this means the account has been verified and messages are genuine
- In line with government guidance to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus, we ask that PPG meeting and events be postponed. This will help practices concentrate on essential patient care
