Bringing Health and Social Care Staff Together – Thursday 29 November 2018

Staff working in health and social care in Dorset have been invited to attend this event to showcase and celebrate positive changes across our health and care system.

There will be a focus on work that staff do in partnership on a daily basis. Staff attending the event include those who work in care homes and as care workers in people’s own homes, those who provide care in hospitals and those who manage those workloads and co-ordinate that care. There will also be staff attending who commission health and care services.

At the event there will be workshops inviting discussion on a variety of topics, such as how to improve health and social care in the future and how to better use digital technology and innovation.

These workshops will be led by a variety of people including (but not exclusively):

  •  Colleagues from Bournemouth University who are leading a talk about technology.
  •    Reza Nouraei, a Consultant Laryngologist, who will lead a workshop on Doing Things Differently.
  •   Dr Anu Dhir, a local Dorset GP, who will lead a discussion about Primary Care

There will be an exhibition of projects for people to visit which will tell them about work that is currently going on.

Health and Social Care has seen many changes over the last few years including developing the Our Dorset Integrated Care System (ICS). The ICS is about your local NHS and councils working together in a more joined up, synchronised way. Dorset is making great progress as a leading integrated care system.
