Following the success of recent walk-in clinics in Bournemouth, local residents are being offered another opportunity to get the jab done.

On Saturday 10 July, Poole Road Medical Centre will be holding an open session, now open for all adults 18+ who haven’t yet had their first vaccine dose (updated 07/07/21 – previously open to 18-39).

No appointments are needed.

The walk in clinic will run from 10am to 2pm, with up to 240 vaccination slots being made available on a first come first served basis.

Poole Road Medical Centre is located at the top of Poole Hill, a short walk from Bournemouth Town Centre and is accessible by bus via the St Michael’s Roundabout and Queens Road stops.

Local GP and Clinical Lead for the vaccination programme in Dorset Dr Andy Rutland said “We know that younger adults are keen to be vaccinated and get life back to normal.  The walk in option hopefully offers an opportunity for those who are yet to plan an appointment”

Those attending will need to show proof of their age before they can be vaccinated.

If you are 18 or over and are unable to attend the sessions, you can still book you jab via the National Booking System.
