MSK Physiotherapy Services Review
16 May 2018

The NHS in Dorset is reviewing the way that physiotherapy services are offered and delivered. The findings will be used to help improve services in the future.

We have developed a view seeking survey aimed at musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy patients, carers and professionals.  The survey goes live on 17th May 2018 and runs for 6 weeks, until the 27th June 2018.

What we’d like you to do:

  1. Complete the survey yourself.  The survey can be found here dorsetsvision.nhs.uk/physio
  1. Promote the survey – forward to your colleagues, tell patients and carers about it, tell members of your organisation or group*.  If you would like to receive promotional flyers please contact us with the amount you’d like and your postal address.

*We’d like to hear from people over the age of 16 that have received in the last 12 months, or are currently receiving physiotherapy for a musculoskeletal condition.

The review does not include physiotherapy for neurological, cardiological or respiratory conditions.

Local GP and Clinical Delivery Group Lead with Dorset CCG Dr Christian Verrinder said “It is common for all health services to be regularly reviewed to ensure they are able to continue to provide people with the best care that they need. In order to help us achieve this, we are encouraging anyone who has either used local physiotherapy services or knows someone who has to complete the survey and let us know what’s good about services in Dorset and what could be done better. Equally we want to hear the experiences of those people who work in physiotherapy in the county who are able to provide us with some valuable insight.

All the feedback we receive will be looked at and considered, helping us shape the services that will be used local people in the future.”

You can also request paper, audio or easy read copies of the survey, or further information by e-mailing communications@dorsetccg.nhs.uk or calling 01202 541662.
