Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group
Become a Maternity Voices Representative
11 May 2017

People in Dorset who have relevant experience are being invited to apply to become a Maternity Voices Representative, helping to give women and their families more of a say in their maternity care.

Dorset’s Maternity Partnership Group is looking for two representatives, one for the east and one for the west of the county, to act as ambassadors for maternity service users.

By linking with mums, dads, and groups in Dorset’s local communities, these reps will help develop services by giving voice to the needs, views and challenges that women and their families face throughout their maternity care.

Dr Karen Kirkham, Assistant Clinical Chair, Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group, said:

“We want to ensure that the views of women and their families inform the design of maternity services which put them, and their babies, at the centre of their own care.

“With the help of our new representatives, we can ensure that this happens. They will help us to build strong links between service providers and the community.”

Anyone who is interested in this role can find out more at by visiting the Maternity Voices page, and is invited to complete the expression of interest. Paper copies of the role description and expression of interest can be requested by calling 01202 541946.

The closing date for applications is Monday 5 June 2017.
